How do you scale an image or PDF after inserting it in AutoCAD?
You simply cannot. The best you can do is to make it in AutoCAD and save the file. This can be done in 2 ways. 1.Look at the pdf and sketch all lines, arcs, fillets, etc exactly as per the PDF drawing. 2. If youâre lazy, as I am sometimes, IMPORT the PDF to your sheet, scale the PDF to match the size of dimensions somewhat (what I do is, take a reference of 1 straight line of say 5mm on the PDF and make a 5 mm line. Now scale and move the PDF over the sheet untill both lines align almost exactly.) Now you can simple trace over the PDF and delete the IMPORTED PDF after giving all dimensions and making sure the draft is complete. My method can be said a modern technically advanced version of what once every engineering student might have done (G.C.)
