What is Excel's "Insert Data from Picture" feature and how does it work?

Create all the sheets you want in the workbook. Here it is created a sheet for each support rep. Create a range and name it for your master table. Color the data in your table (with headings), name the range in the Name Box, then press Enter. The named range is needed for Microsoft Query to pick the data for analysis. Create a Table out of your master table. Color the data according to the steps above. Click Insert>Table. Making your data into a Table has tons of benefits, the basic one here is that when you add new data to it, it automatically expands to pick the new data and this will automatically expand your named range too. Move to the sheet where you want the query results to go. It could be another worksheet or even another workbook. Click Data>From Other Sources then choose From Microsoft Query. Choose Data Source window displays. Select Excel Files then click OK. Select Workbook window displays. Find and choose the workbook to query. Note that it can be the currently opened workbook. Click OK. Query Wizard displays. Your named ranges must be appearing on the left-hand side of the window as a table. I will choose all columns from the left to show on my subset sheets then click Next. On the Filter Data step of the wizard, choose to filter for the data you want to appear on that sheet. Here I am making X’s sheet so I only want data where Assigned To equals X. Click Next. Follow the remaining steps in the wizard until you are ready to choose the destination for your data. In the Import Data dialog make sure Table in chosen as to how your data will be pasted. I decided to choose to paste the data in A1 on the X sheet. Since you pasted the data as a table, now you have the ability to Refresh if you make any changes to the master table. For each subset sheet, you have steps 4-11 will be repeated. But once this is all set up you’ve got yourself a very good Excel database!
